Rejection letter [Nov. 30th, 2006|07:46 pm]
Oxbridge Rejects

[mood |aggravatedaggravated]

Just joined this facebook contraption. Looks fairly easy to use.

Today I've been rejected from St. Anne's in oxford for physics and philosophy.

I made a complete mess of my written tests, and instead of "interviewing 90%" of all candidates, the department seems to have given a good quarter the boot, according to the statistics they gave.

I guess it really is my fault, but when a university rejects you because you failed to correctly answer impossibly hard questions for two hours of your life, you cannot help but think that you've been short-changed a little...

You're commenting on other people's pasts in a forum you dont even have an account with. That's a bit above and beyond. Also if an applicant doesn't get into Oxford, the chances are they wouldn't have enjoyed it. If Oxbridge dont think you're the right sort of person for them, they're probably not the right sort of people for you. The main point is you cant critisize me for speculating that most who dont get in wouldn't have enjoyed it based on this simple peice of reasoning, whilst at the same time making a contradictory speculation based on no logic whatsoever, unless you are sugesting that Oxbridge is perfect for everybody's wants and desires.
